Friday 15th August saw an amazing fundraising event for South Auckland Hospice being held at the TelstraClear Pacific Centre in Manukau. It certainly was an evening of elegance, mystery and entertainment. Guests were treated to champagne, juice and canpes on arrival. After mix and mingle guests made their way to reserved tables for the gala dinner. In attendance were BNI Eastside Chapter President Leanne Parsons & fiance Hilton, together with Event Co-Ordinator Rob Glengarry and his wife Lynn.
Sharing the occassion were Paul & Rosemary Meyer Assistant Directors BNI South/East Auckland.
Hayden Duncan welcomed everyone to the event. He was also the auctioneer for the live auction which took place during the course of the evening and there was a silent auction as well. Both auctions were a lot of fun to be part of. Prior to dinner being served, guests were treated to music from The Phantom of the Opera performed by Julia Booth, Ian Campbell and Greg Neil City of Sails Piano Trio. Entertainment by Famous Fish continued throughout the evening and then after dinner it was on to dancing. the night away. This event was an awesome experience to be part of and an evening which was certainly unforgettable.
