MEDIA RELEASE: Palmerston North, November 3rd 2015 – Latham Lockwood has been appointed Director Consultant for four business groups in the BNI NZ networking organisation in the Manawatu/Whanganui region. These groups include two in Palmerston North, one in Feilding and one in Wanganui.
BNI NZ is the country’s largest structured business networking organisation with 120 groups throughout the country. This new appointment comes at a time of growth for BNI NZ and sees Lockwood take responsibility for dozens of businesses in the greater Palmerston North region.
Lockwood is a Property Consultant at Bayleys Coast to Coast in the Manawatu.
“Latham has been a BNI member for four years in the Manawatu BNI Heartland chapter, so many of our members already know him from his time working in the region in real estate,” BNI NZ National Director Graham Southwell says. “Latham has a strong customer service background coupled with a comprehensive understanding of local issues, which lends perfectly to his role of Director Consultant where he will be engaging with business people from a range of backgrounds.”
Lockwood says the role of Director Consultant will allow him to assist BNI members in his region with strategy and their business groups’ long-term goals. “I have a particular interest in social media and look forward to bringing more ways of networking to these SMBs,” Lockwood says. “I’m also excited to give back through my role. BNI NZ is a national partner to Hospice NZ and all four of the groups regularly contribute to the local community including Arohanui Hospice.”
