Develop the habit of becoming a “Connector”

by BNI New Zealand

As many of you will know – BNI has a close relationship with Home Business specialists – Homebizbuzz – to include an ongoing advertising campaign on their website called “Breakfast is on us” which helps to drive visitors to the chapters by way of a complimentary breakfast.

I have recently posted an article to the site which might be of interest:

We usually admire people who are described as connected, but it’s the people who actively strive to ‘bring people together’ – the connectors – who deserve the highest praise, and who earn the most reward.

It’s no good ‘being connected’ unless you’re using those connections for the benefit of others by making introductions. We know from experience that those people who are actively and consciously making introductions benefit from goodwill, a sense of satisfaction and increased opportunities for themselves – it’s simply the principle of ‘givers gain’ at work.

Hi Graham,

Great blog. This is something I try to get members to open up to when having One2Ones.

Not only making connections but also letting people know that they have connections.

Cheers,

David
