We wanted to congratulate another BNI business for their great outcome at the David Awards. Heat Pumps NOW, a member of BNI in Christchurch, picked up the Supreme Award and were also awarded Most Outstanding Fledgling Business and Most Community-Minded Business. The intention of these awards is to recognise small businesses which often fly beneath the national radar but are doing extraordinary things. Last year’s winner was also a BNI member and it’s fantastic to see another business from a BNI chapter recognised in 2015.
According to David Awards judges, Heat Pumps NOW is a true David business. It began with a vision to make a difference for people in Christchurch who needed heating and they now provide a personal and reliable service to residents worn out from fighting to be heard by large organisations. Their excellent customer service has ensured their growth through word of mouth and referrals. They also contribute to their community in practical and measureable ways. They are succeeding where larger companies in their area have failed.
Heat Pumps NOW Director Blair Ashdowne says to be a finalist was an honour in and of itself. Winning Most Outstanding Fledgling Business and Most Community-Minded Business was very humbling and to win the Supreme Award as well put him at a loss for words. Blair recommends going through the awards process because just entering is an opportunity to reflect on what your team has done and celebrate the many small wins you have had. Congratulations to the team at Heat Pumps NOW and let’s see more BNI businesses entering the awards in 2016.
