Last year I bought Iggy Pop’s autobiography and immersed myself in the world of ‘sex and drugs and rock and roll!’
I even went out and bought some of the Stooges first albums and “discovered” his music for the first time – albeit some 40 years after the event! Described as the Godfather of Punk – I discovered that when he was at school he was a high achiever and voted the person most likely to become the President of the United States. I was particularly intrigued by this – the idea that he had had the choice of becoming a high achiever or of dropping out and following his passion, and what his choices have meant to him.
I found myself wondering what my choice would have been? A few years ago I would not have given this decision a second thought – however these days I am not so sure. What would you choose? Of course, there are some that would argue that there is not so much difference between being a pop star and US President 🙂
