Technology is a Beautiful Thing
Those of us “mature enough” to remember Vinyl, 8-Tracks, Cassettes, CDs, DVDs, USBs, Radios, Walkmans, Ipods etc. as ways of playing music, are laughed at by today’s mostly Spotify users. Playing the music, you want when you want, has gotten a whole lot easier.
Technology is such an ever-changing but intrinsic part of our lives that make our lives easier and more productive. Horse and Buggy anyone?
When such technology is available to us and we don’t use it, what happens? We get left behind and may become thought of as old fashioned or get “left behind” by the rest of the world.
As businesspeople we must constantly be aware of new technology and evaluate what is useful to us to make our lives (and our customers’) easier and more productive.
Please Get Out Your Phone!
Yes, really! In the meeting. One piece of technology is pretty much ubiquitous. Our phones are our constant companions.
People touch their smartphone over 2,600 times a day, research shows.
In the past, in BNI we recorded our BNI activity via paper slips. The Vice President collated these and entered them into the weekly PALMS reporting for you, it was unwieldy and time consuming.
Now we can record our BNI activity at anytime and not only save the Vice President a lot of trouble but we can easily carry out and see a range of other useful BNI related activities.
Today, we are going to look at just one of those features in the BNI App.
So if you open up your BNI App, we can experience this feature for ourselves, rather than just me telling you about it.
If you can’t access the BNI App, please raise your hand*** so you can watch on someone else’s phone.
***Note who these members are so they can be helped later, don’t try and help them now or it will drag out the education and make it about their technology issues.
