Donna Roy is a Massage Therapist and a new BNI member of Hutt Catalysts in Lower Hutt. Donna is already aware of how BNI can benefit her business (on her second visit to the Hutt Catalysts meeting alone, one of the members purchased massage vouchers for his wife for Christmas, effectively paying for her BNI membership and convincing her to join!)
Donna has also created a win/win arrangement with a member in her chapter where they cross refer business. Donna says: “At a Red Hot business coaching presentation an example was given of the owner of Vogel Motors striking a deal with the local Hell’s Pizza outlet – when people bought five pizzas, they received a free warrant of fitness for their car at Vogel Motors. This is obviously a win/win for both businesses, people were buying five pizzas just to get the warrant and Vogel Motors was getting the mechanical work to do on the cars during the warrant inspection process.
“I was hugely in awe of the guy who thought and set this up and was amazed to discover on my first visit to Hutt Catalysts that he was a member of that BNI chapter. I got talking with Benn about the Red Hot coaching team and mentioned that I had an arrangement with the local Configure Gym in that I offered free 15 minute introductory massage vouchers for new gym members. He instantly offered to give my 15 minute massage vouchers to each woman who brought her car in for a warrant. This really helps me out because I needed more female clients. When I dropped the vouchers into Benn we ended up having a really interesting discussion about his goals for the business and his visions for life, and I came away with some of his free warrant of fitness vouchers to give to my clients as well.
