The Compassion Project

by BNI New Zealand

Peace on earth, good will toward men. More than a holiday slogan, this is the foundation of a formula for improving the world undertaken by the Compassion Project. Imagine one million people deliberately creating and experiencing a more compassionate world, more good will toward others. Is there any question that this project will create a more peaceful world?

The Compassion Project was launched on Thursday, October 22, 2009 with the 1,500 attendees of the Avatar Professional Course in Orlando, Florida. Harry Palmer, president of Star’s Edge International, outlined a simple plan to improve the conditions of the world.
“Let’s increase the amount of compassion on the planet by placing one million Compassion Cards into the hands of strangers,” said Palmer.

Hi Graham,
I have heard so many people in NZ excited about the compassion project it is awesome you have posted it here. The most common thing you hear people say is I don’t have enough time to make a difference, but here is such a simple way and you start by using the exercise to create a personal sense of peace for yourself and then that just has to have a great effect on the planet! Very inspiring indeed!

Hi Graham
Thanks for getting the compassion project out into the world. I have had feed back from people doing the exercise on the boat or train on the way to work, and saying that they feel so peaceful and grateful by the time they get to work and they have the most awesome day afterwards. So i highly recommend that you try it.

thanks love jan
