Dave Henry from Jim’s Test & Tag is the VP of the BNI Manukau Chapter in South Auckland. He was scheduled to present his 10 minute recently and decided that he was going to present in a very different way to that of previous presentations.
Dave had just returned from attending a Conference in Australia. While there he learned that the wife of one of his colleagues had breast cancer and was going through a very challenging time.
The Franchisors made a decision that they would shave their heads in support of their colleague’s wife and would donate funds raised to a charity of her choice, which is still to be decided on in Australia.

Dave decided that here in New Zealand he would also shave his head in support of this woman and when he spoke to her she was happy for him to donate his “support proceeds” to Hospice.
Dave commenced his presentation in the normal manner by talking about his business and the conference, using power point slides. He then stated that he required someone to “drive the hair cutters,” “someone to drive the camera,” and “invited all the members of the group to make a donation.

It was quite opportune for him to be presenting this day as Jo a representative from the South Auckland Hospice was visiting the chapter. By the end of the meeting Dave had raised $130.00 which was presented to Jo for South Auckland Hospice. This was certainly a novel approach taken by Dave as not only did he show some great information about the Test and Tag business, but also that he was not afraid to carry out such a task in front of his BNI Colleagues.
Well done Dave and BNI Manukau Chapter Members.
