BNI Gold Coast raises more than $14,000.00 for hospice

Mary Potter Hospice stands to benefit from the phenomenal fundraising efforts of BNI Gold Coast after the chapter recently raised more than $14,000.00 during a special auction event.

BNI Gold Coast president Steve Rose of Steve Rose Electrical says the whole chapter pooled together to sponsor prizes or source items that were auctioned off on the night.

“We also raised money by selling tickets, from pledges and selling drinks on the night.  The auction was run by Eddie Winkle from Professionals Real Estate, who did an amazing job and was very entertaining.

“There were a lot of sponsors, too many to mention, but all local businesses. Members themselves donated most of the items,” says Steve

The event was held at The Otihanga Boating Club at the end of September and was put together by organisers Steve Rose, Louise Taylor, Claudia Duncan and Helge Ritthammer – all on the leadership team.

“It was the goal we set the leadership team during our term, to run the event,” says Steve.
