by BNI New Zealand

WAIKATO, Tuesday October 11, 2016– To help support over 243 businesses looking to grow in the Waikato area, Ray Siesicki has been appointed to a new role as Regional Director Consultant – Central North Island for networking organisation BNI New Zealand.

Ray Siesicki

Ray notes that the Central North Island region is a challenging one for businesses because it is highly competitive. “Our main industries are tourism, forestry and transport,” says Ray, “but there are many businesses outside these industries that often lack sales & marketing support to achieve their desired business growth. Referral marketing is a key networking technique for these businesses to become more professional and improve their bottom lines.”

Ray will be working full time in this new role to support the Director Consultants in the Waikato region who take responsibility for 10 business groups in this area which comprise of over 243 business members. He will be focusing on improving the overall member experience in a number of ways including: systemising the content and delivery of training, encouraging recognition and accountability, improving retention and helping to grow these business groups.

Ray was formerly with Spark New Zealand as a Business Development Manager and has extensive experience in the telecommunications space having worked with 2degrees Mobile and as the Regional Sales Manager for Vodafone.

“For more than 13 years I’ve worked with businesses of all sizes in the telecommunications industry from one man bands to corporates,” Ray says. “I intend to bring this experience to my new role supporting BNI and its business groups to help individual members achieve their goals as well as bring growth to the larger organisation.”

Graham Southwell, National Director for BNI NZ, says, “Ray’s ability to talk to people in all sorts of businesses large and small will be a huge asset in his new role. He understands that to be successful in business it is about evaluating the needs of the business, how it operates and how it can be more efficient.” By bringing this attitude to his new role Graham believes Ray will be able to assist members to increase their sales, save money and improve efficiencies.
