- Your 60 second entry can be used by you as a mini promotional video in your email signature, on your website or as a brochure
It’s really simple to enter…
The BNI Best 60 Second (Video) Competition
- Prepare your best 60-second
- Deliver your best 60-second during the 60 second part of your chapter meeting (during any meeting in August, but it must be a proper part of the meeting and not a separate event)
- Your chapter’s social media coordinator will record your 60-second entry – NB: It must take place as a normal part of the meeting – using a smart phone or camcorder
- Your social media coordinator posts it to your BNI chapter’s own Facebook page
- Your local regional director – and an independent judge – will nominate three of the best entries as finalists (September)
- The regional finalists’ 60-second presentation mini-videos will be posted to the BNI New Zealand Facebook Page (October)
- An independent panel of judges will select three finalists, while two more finalists will be based on the highest number of Facebook ‘Likes’ (this is where chapters, family, friends, colleagues and regions can get behind their candidates and make their vote count).
- The winners will be selected from the five finalists – five finalists for ‘Best 60 Seconds’ and five finalists for best ‘Memory Hook’.
The Best Memory Hook Competition
- Prepare and write your best memory hook
- Have your social media coordinator post your written memory hook to your chapter’s Facebook page

RULES
- Only entries posted during the month of August will be considered
- Only entries recorded during the official 60-second part of your chapter meeting will be considered
- The Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
- No inappropriate, offensive or crude entries are permitted
- Member likes during the regional stages of the competition will not be considered
What is your social media coordinator?
Each chapter should have a social media co-ordinator (SMC) responsible for administering the chapter’s new Facebook page – posting comments, photos and video to the page.
You can post excerpts from meetings, socials or hospice fundraising and other events. You can even promote your own business via your chapter’s Facebook page – that’s what it’s there for, to be used for business and fun, for exposure, networking and socialising…
How to do a great 60-second!
Your director will have delivered a ten minute presentation (before August) to your chapter on how to do a good 60 second presentation. This ten minute has been supplied to ensure consistency.
If you have any questions, please email your regional director.
