BNI Warkworth kicks off fundraising for Christchurch

by Colin Kennedy

Business members of BNI Warkworth – like people and business owners everywhere – are gravely concerned about the crisis in Christchurch.

Warkworth Chapter President, Paul Surman, said that like most people not in Canterbury we’re all affected by a sense of helplessness.

“The only way we could think to respond was to dig deep into our pockets and make a donation. We would like to urge other businesses to do the same.

“As a chapter we’re adding $10 (from our chapter fund) to every donation we receive from our BNI members. We’re hoping to raise a $1,000 quickly and we’re challenging other chapters around New Zealand – and the world — to do the same, or better it,” said Paul.

BNI New Zealand has set up a relief fund and all money will be donated 100% directly to the New Zealand Red Cross. To donate, click here.
