Waitakere Chapter Xmas Luncheon

by BNI New Zealand

img_20221.JPG  Waitakere Chapter BNI members really know how to celebrate the end of a busy year!  Here is a report on their social function from the chapters Events Coordinator – Veroncia Puriri:

“We’re a pretty social bunch, and decided that a private get-together, for a themed Xmas luncheon with partners and children was the way to go.  Catering was provided by Spitroast.com Auckland Limited and the food was fantastic.  The theme was “come dressed as your occupation”  –  with the challenge being to think outside the square.

While dressing up wasn’t compulsory there were a few who relished the opportunity, and thinking outside the square is exactly what they did.   We had a man in a garter, a plumber about to hightail it to Hawaii with his desperate housewife, Frances & Bruce with their bags packed, a couple of caped crusaders, John Wayne, and a mad man in yellow claiming to be a fitness guru!   And, to top it all off, Santa was found in the toilet!

We had gimmicky prizes for the following members:  best referrer, highest visitor count, highest number of dances.

It was a great afternoon, enjoyed by all and a perfect way to complete the year.”
