Twenty-three East Auckland small business owners are desperately seeking a sparky and a bunch of other trades and professions to join them for breakfast.
Personal Trainer and BNI East Auckland president, Jennie Millen, says the chapter has a fun and supportive atmosphere, but they’re keen to grow the team.
“We have other tradesmen in our group who want an electrician in the team to complete their hub (they have referrals ready and waiting), but we also need a florist, a graphic designer, sign-writer, dentist, beauty therapist, virtual assistant services provider, a recruitment consultant, an insurance fire and general broker, photographer and some others.”
To introduce small business owners to what they do, the group is hosting a visitors day on Thursday, 21 February at the Pakuranga Golf Club at 7am.
“Our chapter is about getting down to business and generating business, but we also have a bit of a laugh.
“When I first joined the group I was just starting out and the members – some have been in the chapter more than ten years and all with established businesses – took me under their wing and have really helped me grow my business.
“That has been very valuable to me”, says Jennie.
