With the shortest day of the year now behind us, it’s a great time to do a mid-year checkup. Instead of waiting until the end of the year, now’s the time to reassess and make sure your business goals are being met.
Here are 3 things to consider to ensure you will finish the year out strong.
1. Think about your customer service. Successful businesses have one thing in common; they build relationships with their customers by focusing on their wants and needs and providing exceptional customer service.
Talk with your customers, spend more time with them, offer different programmes or promotions and you’ll not only maintain your current clientele, but gain more customers by enhancing your reputation. It’s the same referral marketing that we do week to week at BNI.
2. Adopt new technology. With new apps constantly being developed to improve business, now is a good time to look at how technology can help you. The BNI Global Support team has just debuted its own app here for BNI Connect – you can access member profiles, share and refer contacts, read the latest news and more.
Look also at your data security. Make sure you are protected from malicious threats in cyberspace.
3. Think about giving back. Businesses that engage in the community and get involved in various community or charitable events are likely to interact with potential customers. That’s why at BNI we have a philosophy of Givers Gain. Through volunteerism and participating in community events, we can interact with one another, build relationships with each other and the community.
4. Check which of your goals for 2017 have been achieved and start to think about those which may need further attention. Have you reached your personal business goals? Have you all, as a chapter reached any goals set by the current leadership team? It’s the midway point for the current leadership team and a good time to check progress and make any adjustments where needed.
The days will gradually be getting longer herein, so let’s make the most of every moment. Your mid-year check-up, will definitely help you to work out where you need to start!
