Its Thursday – so we must be in …”Christchurch!” The Small Business Expo expanded its reach last year and took in Christchurch and Wellington. We have exhibited at the Auckland Expo since its inception three years ago and decided this year to also take a stall at the Christchurch Expo. I was there for the three days – assisted by BNI Regional Director – Alastair Christie together with support from various members who helped out over the three days. It was a great Expo – with a totally different feel to the Auckland event. Whilst the numbers of visitors was a lot less – this gave us more time to talk to the visitors, to tell them about BNI and to offer them a voucher for a free breakfast on BNI. There was also more time to network with the other exhibitors – at least 10 of whom are current members. Many thanks also to the various members who came and said hello. For next year, we are thinking that maybe we should organise a big breakfast around the event – to give members a chance to network and to take in a visit to the Expo immediately afterwards.
