Dear Graham:

Thank you so very much for bringing my article over to New Zealand, and for sharing it with other members of BNI. Your reference to the "Butterfly Effect" associated with Complexity Theory (which used to be called "Chaos Theory") is a very insightful and apt one.

We are indeed reaping the bitter harvest that we have sown -- and it is only through transcendent ethics, adherence to values and a sense of interconnectedness and social responsibility will we be able to make our home planet, and the people upon it, into a haven for life instead of a sad example of history, like an unhealthy lunch, repeating itself.

With respect,

Douglas

Thats a very good point - thanks for that Eva. As you say - out of the struggle comes the growth. It is something that I talked about in my posting entitled The Butterfuly Effect - http://bniblog.co.nz/be-inspired/the-butterfly-effect/ on this blog and is a timely reminder :-)

All the best and thanks again for the comments.

Great article. Thank you so much for reminding us who we really can be if we allow it and how much each of us can contribute to the well-being of this planet, to our businesses and to each other.

All we have to do is decide to focus our thoughts to where we want to be and how we want to be. This focus allows us to replace our detremental focus on how things are at the moment.

I do not beleive that that there are things that are going so wrong in the world. I beleive that all that is going on in the world is just a bouncing of place from which we can be inspired to reach for the opportunities that will bring improved situations.

It seems that it is always out of turmoil, whether economic or emotional, that we develop a very keen awareness of what we would prefer and where things evolve in a very powerful way. And it is this new vantage point that allows us motion forward that will lead us to what we prefer.

If we choose to individually focus our attention to such an approach, them collectively we have the potential to acheive greatness both in our business and our lives..
