I had this happen to me earlier this year. 

When I spoke with the prospect for the first time she said: &quot;You will be pleased to learn I have just received your business card and you come highly recommended.&quot; 

The referer had prepared her well and this was the perfect response to a first time call.

While this lady has not become a customer yet we have a great relationship developing and it is expected to become business in the near future.
