I am in BNI and really enjoy this weekly contact which I feel is giving me a lot more confidence in speaking to others about my business. My partner has recently been made redundant and is looking at establishing his own business but is a huge step obviously after the weekly pay!! I think i will bring him along to my weekly meeting as I agree BNI is almost i would say critical to new businesses...

Great post Graham
I remember that feeling of being "cut off" when I was made redundant in 1989. I did make a list of who I knew and progressively approached them to see how they could help me in this career transition.
I chose self employment and many on that list became customers. Since 2001 when I became involved in BNI the joy of these relationships have served me well.
BNI is an excellent way to develop deep meaningful business relationships they foster qualified business referrals.
Today continuing to enjoy my BNI association I also help people future proof their careers.
BNI is highly recommended if you have been made redundant and choose to go into self employment.
Regards Paul
